The Rolodex

So remember how I was going to go on an OkCupid (ugh) date last night?  Well I did.  I ended up changing my outfit and I forgot to take a picture of it, but it was: Black Blazer from The Limited; Tribute Tee in Hisbiscus from Madewell; Skinny Skinny Jeans in Western Wash from Madewell; MacAlister Wedges in Nut from J.Crew (just purchased on a whim yesterday after work); accessories: Green Suede Clutch from Madewell yay.

First, a backstory.  BFF thebitchqueenofangmar texted me freaking out because she was going out with a guy who was going to take her bowling and she HATES HATES HATES bowling.  Since they were going to be in the area, I told her to come out to the bar that we were meeting at.  The bar was about twenty-five paces from my apartment (okay that is an exaggeration but only slightly) and she and I have been there before soooo….yeah.

She ends up coming over, parking her car on my street, we fuck around until our dates are to begin.  By a miscommunication, she arrived at the bar significantly sooner than her date would be there (which was also earlier than I was supposed to meet mine) so since I was basically ready to go I walked down to meet her and we got a beer.

My date: C. Nice guy — not the cutest guy in the world but we had a fun time.  I actually went into it with the mindset of “this is somebody who lives near me and seems like he would be a fun FRIEND” and had a better time than I would have with the mindset of “potential partner?”  I was going to get my own drink but he had gotten the bill by the time I could say anything, and I was GOING to be totally up front and say something about friends, but I didn’t get a chance.  Oh well, next time

thebitchqueenofangmar and her date came to join us at one point, and our dates ended up being like BFF.  It was totally cute.  We talked and laughed a bunch, the four of us, and then our guys left and we went home, got pizza and cheesefries, and watched part of Mean Girls until we were both about to pass out.

So essentially — C and I could only be friends but I hope it does happen.

Haven’t heard from the Bartender.

Another guy that thebitchqueenofangmar is seeing has a show tonight with his band — might go to it with her.

This is the first weekend since at least last summer (as in 2010) that I have had absolutely nothing that I had to do and I like it.  I’m going on a MAJOR room cleaning bender today.  Also, I am chronically incapable of sleeping past 7:30.  That’s a fun thing.
